CSS is important. And it is being used more and more often. Cascading Style Sheets offer many advantages you don’t have in table-layouts – and first of all a strict separation between layout, or design of the page, and the information, presented on the page. Thus the design of pages can be easily changed, just replacing a css-file with another one. Isn’t it great? Well, actually, it is.
So goes the SmashingMagazine page on the same… A well-selected set of CSS goodies, neatly packaged in a single webpage. This is enuf to get ur CSS love cycle started
Me being a devout photoshopper… (for the layman… photoshopper is not someone who shops for photos… it’s for someone who likes to use Photoshop), I thought it’ll be nice to dedicate a post to my fav image editor. Top 5 Photoshop Tutorials is a TechEBlog link with a really useful set of video tutorials for the same. It rocks…
The guyz @ TechEBlog have compiled a list of cool things you can make with paper — perfect for a lazy weekend.
An Almost-Flying Paper Bird, Paper Helicopter, Jumping Paper Frog, Sailing Paper Ship, Water/Snack Cup, Ultimate Paper Plane & Paper Snack Boxes!!! See it to believe it!!!
Software for Starving Students has released a 2007 edition of its collection of freeware and open-source software.

The collection includes well-known gems like 7-Zip, Audacity, Blender, and OpenOffice.org–all stuff you can easily get yourself, but here the legwork is done for you. Plus, it comes with an easy-to-use installer. The idea behind the project is to give students (or anyone else) a single CD containing all the software they’ll need to be productive.
Just one caveat: The download is a disc image file (DMG for Mac users, ISO for Windows), so you need to know how to burn that image to a CD. It’s pretty much a drag-and-drop affair for Mac users, but Windows users will need a program like Nero or Active ISO Burner, which is freeware. Software for Starving Students 2007.01 is free; it’s available for Windows and Mac.
Now here’s a blog dedicated to the rich guyz. And to my surprise, it’s run by Indians!!! A pretty good attempt by Indians to venture the exculsive world of the krazy rich.
It’s touted as the ultimate guide to the most expensive things in the world including gadgets, wheels, wings, estates, apparel and includes news on items like a Diamond Encrusted Hair Straightener, Swarovski-Studded DJ Headphones, the Whirlpool Laundry Wall, MSI’s Crystal Laptop Collection, 24ct Gold HP Laserjet Printer… Clearly most of the contributers are galz, seeing their fancy for diamonds, gold & crystals. Worth a look around.
Mandolux has a collection of absolutely stunning panoramic photographs for your desktop. There are archives going back to 2002 with an average of six new desktops a month. Great looking set. Must try.

Google? Yahoo? Dogpile? BOOORRINGGGG!
Now this is a different type of querying. A new interactive search engine has cropped up, based on Windows Live Search. It is innovative, entertaining, and easy on the eyes!!!
That’s the idea behind Ms. Dewey, a comely, “interactive” librarian who stands around waiting for you to type a search term-and throws out the occasional smart remark if you take too long. Fairly funny stuff, though you’ll want to keep the volume low if you’re at work; she’s pretty chatty, making mundane, silly or even provocative wise-cracks at your keywords. And although nothing she says deserves more than a PG rating, this is definitely a saucy site aimed at grownups (and, let’s be honest, male grownups).
People with normal color vision would see a 5 in the spots, while a Red-Green Color blind person will spot a 2.
Although not a major problem, there are many situations where a right judgement in color is very essential. Lotsa talent go waste unable to clear these medical tests in job opportunities. While browsing online, I can across quite a handy source of material and wanted to share it with the world
So this is a wiki I made up on the subject sometime back.
BTW, wetpaint.com is a kool wiki-site, easy to make and edit. Try it sometime.
Vista enthusiast Brajeshwar Oinam has put together some beautiful, high-resolution Vista-themed wallpapers for us all, and he’s even merged them all together in quite the handy-dandy little zip file for easy download.

This project creates impressive fire balls from bubbles. All you need is a tub of water, soap, a cigarette lighter & matches to burn it.
Kool… right…
