You’re having another bad day. Your Internet is down. You discover a past-due credit card bill. The salesclerk rings up your order wrong. A traffic jam makes you late.

Oh, nothing catastrophic occurs, just a series of frustrating delays, minor mishaps, and dropped details that, cumulatively, make you crazy. All at once you realize you’re in a terrible mood, again. In fact, it’s hard to remember the last time you were in a really good mood.

At times, you feel awesome. At other times, you want the world to just be quiet. The bad news is that bad moods can be easy to acquire. The good news is, they can be just as easy to break. View full article »

AeroCopter!!!

Now, this is science fiction in practical, guys. Old news (to be exact, the project began way back in 1993 & the first flight was on Jan 25th 2006), but still an interesting read.

Bell Helicopters had been fiddling with a cross between an aeroplane & a helicopter and we got the TR918 Eagle Eye Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). It combines the vertical lift capability of a helicopter with the speed and range of a turboprop airplane! View full article »

The Transition™

Terrafugia,Inc. was founded by graduates of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a mission to expand personal mobility by integrating land & air travel. By combining solid aircraft design fundamentals with a focus on creativity and customer service, they came up with some quite interesting concepts, which’ll soon be a reality.

According to these geniuses, The Transition™ is a road-able aircraft rather than a flying car, in that will be able to land at the airport, fold up its wings, and drive on the road. This winged beauty is capable of flight, but is also street-legal like other automobiles and is hailed as the best dual-purpose concept to date.

To operate the Transition, however, we need to have a pilot’s license. It is targeted to be a Special Light Sport (S-LSA) vehicle and is for pilots, businesspeople, weekend travelers, and anyone who values their mobility and independence.

Check out videos on the Transition landing & driving at their site. Also included a free test-drive of this unique concept.
