The truth is that Google can be used to conduct a search for almost any file type, including Mp3s, PDFs, and videos. This functionality has been available for a long time, but most users haven’t caught on to it. So here’s a quick example of how to use Google to search for Mp3s. It’s like turning Google into the Napster of 2006.
The following is a Google search string for searching open web directories containing downloadable Nirvana music files. Substitute the term Nirvana in the search string for any other band of your liking.
-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(wma|mp3|ogg|wav|aac) “Nirvana”
OR
“parent directory ” MP3 -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
OR even a simple
?intitle:index.of? mp3 followed by what u want!
Similarly for applications, use
“parent directory ” applications -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
OR
“parent directory ” Gamez -html -htm -php -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5sums
With some very slight modifications the same search string can easily be used to search for ebooks in DOC,PDF and other formats:
-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(rar|chm|zip|pdf|tgz|lit) “george orwell 1984?
OR
+(”index of”) +(”/ebooks”|”/book”) +(rar|chm|zip|pdf|tgz|lit) +apache
Or perhaps you r looking for some specific video file:
-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(mpg|mpeg|dat|wmv|xvid|divx|avi|vob|rmvb|rm|mov|rar|zip) “towelie”
To search in file storage sites like MegaUpload & RapidShare, use keyword site:megaupload.com or site:rapidshare.de after filetype or name u want, like
pdf|rar|zip|doc|lit da vinci code site:megaupload.com
Use your imagination and creativity and you can dig up quite a few stuff from it’s shady closet. Of course, I would like to add that ALL THESE METHODS ARE ILLEGAL AND MEAN PIRACY. The power is yours for the taking, but at a price!
