GEEKS ONLY PLEASE…
This is geek & latin to a layman… so anyone who doesn’t understand @least some html, please don’t stress ur brain in this.
A recent travel thru the LifeHacker brought me to a method to incorporate a file into a link. Using this method, we can convert and encode a binary file into a web-link which can be understood and displayed correctly by a browser. This is done using a URI called data: used in this way data:image/jpeg;base64,base_64_encodedfilecomeshere
Uses? Lots actually… for a beginning, u don’t need to upload ur pics to any other site, u can directly add them to the url(or in this matter uri) as text data! Which means data storage within a web page or blog entry! Post images or files to forums that allow url posting, sneak attachments past grumpy email filters… ;

The first attempt at feature films and Kabir Khan rocks!
Kabul Express is loosely based on documentary film maker, Kabir and his friend Rajan Kapoor’s experience in post 9/11 Afghanistan and is about the special relationship which develops between the quintet; an Afghan, a Pakistani talib, two Indian TV journalists and an American photojournalist. The film stars John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Pakistani actor Salman Shahid, Afghani actor Hanif Hum Ghum and American actress Linda Arsenio and is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films.
Now here’s a blog dedicated to the rich guyz. And to my surprise, it’s run by Indians!!! A pretty good attempt by Indians to venture the exculsive world of the krazy rich.
It’s touted as the ultimate guide to the most expensive things in the world including gadgets, wheels, wings, estates, apparel and includes news on items like a Diamond Encrusted Hair Straightener, Swarovski-Studded DJ Headphones, the Whirlpool Laundry Wall, MSI’s Crystal Laptop Collection, 24ct Gold HP Laserjet Printer… Clearly most of the contributers are galz, seeing their fancy for diamonds, gold & crystals. Worth a look around.
Mandolux has a collection of absolutely stunning panoramic photographs for your desktop. There are archives going back to 2002 with an average of six new desktops a month. Great looking set. Must try.
Great Hubble Telescope pics here.
National Geographic pics here.
Other sites are Caedes, InterfaceLift, MacDesktops; old favs DigitalBlasphemy, DeviantArt & PixelGirlPresents.
As mentioned before, Google has quite a few tricks up it’s sleeve. Another “secret” trick is in finding that nagging song that’s been stuck in your head all along or that video you saw the day before. Didn’t get it? Read on.
This site is a near-perfect replica of MS Paint (and works like that too) on the net. Right now, it’s supported by Firefox 1.5 , Opera 9 and Safari 1.
You can even save ur drawings.
Of course there are other online painting sites like Creating Online, PXN8, Fauxto(it even supports layers!!!) but Canvas Paint is an MS Paint duplicate!!!
Google? Yahoo? Dogpile? BOOORRINGGGG!
Now this is a different type of querying. A new interactive search engine has cropped up, based on Windows Live Search. It is innovative, entertaining, and easy on the eyes!!!
That’s the idea behind Ms. Dewey, a comely, “interactive” librarian who stands around waiting for you to type a search term-and throws out the occasional smart remark if you take too long. Fairly funny stuff, though you’ll want to keep the volume low if you’re at work; she’s pretty chatty, making mundane, silly or even provocative wise-cracks at your keywords. And although nothing she says deserves more than a PG rating, this is definitely a saucy site aimed at grownups (and, let’s be honest, male grownups).
The fact that most users don’t utilize the full power of search-engine king, Google is very evident. Most users still use the rather brute-force method of searching which generates a ton of mostly unwanted results. To sift out the scrap among these we have to constrain our search and precision-point it to our specific search.
Lotsa writers attempted (and still attempt) to unravel the intricacies of this wonder tool. The most famous in the pack are Google Hacks by O’Reilly. These few tips are the most in-the-face ones every user is supposed to know.

If you can solve the world’s most daunting mathematical challenges, fame awaits. Fortune, too, if you want it. There are still maths mysteries waiting to be discovered.
Now, that’s krazy!!!

Terrafugia,Inc. was founded by graduates of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a mission to expand personal mobility by integrating land & air travel. By combining solid aircraft design fundamentals with a focus on creativity and customer service, they came up with some quite interesting concepts, which’ll soon be a reality.
According to these geniuses, The Transition™ is a road-able aircraft rather than a flying car, in that will be able to land at the airport, fold up its wings, and drive on the road. This winged beauty is capable of flight, but is also street-legal like other automobiles and is hailed as the best dual-purpose concept to date.
To operate the Transition, however, we need to have a pilot’s license. It is targeted to be a Special Light Sport (S-LSA) vehicle and is for pilots, businesspeople, weekend travelers, and anyone who values their mobility and independence.
Check out videos on the Transition landing & driving at their site. Also included a free test-drive of this unique concept.
